Russia is in deep trouble, but the Russians know how to suffer and endure, don’t they? Putin’s economy is shot all to hell. Th very top of the nomenklatura has been constrained by sanctions. Importantly, President Obama was successful with certain banking sanctions that placed Russia in a real vise. If we wanted to make them suffer even worse, we could shut down the SWIFT banking system to them, and send Russia into a depression. Not a good idea, by the way, once completely cornered, a wounded animal lashes out with severity.

Nope, our president has done a great job here, and old Putin has been slapped pretty hard. Let the Russians go into Syria. No biggie. Not our fight.

Syria is very serious. We are very close to a live shooting war with the Russians. There are four different countries flying combat missions while cruise missiles are flying is a relatively small country. It is a dangerous situation that can easily escalate. With Russia and the US and Israel all having nukes, it would not take much to have a real disaster. Of course our Congress is laser focused on figuring out who might be the next speaker of the house.

Bush saw “Putin’s soul” and knew his own invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq were “super cool moves”.

Amazing how Obama has managed to get Putin to help out with the dirty work. First it was eliminating chemical WMDs in Syria, and now it is bombing the bejeezus out of anything that moves. Doesn’t really matter If they are the good guys or the bad guys because nobody really knows which is which and it is always changing. Let Putin take the blame for awhile.
