    I like patternless crosswords. You have all the clues, but there are no black squares in the grid - youhave to figure out where they are. Sometimes the clues include the word lengths, but it’s more fun if you don’t.

    At least one well-known crossword designer (Merle Reagle, I thing) got his start by trying to solve a newspaper puzzle that had most of its clues torn off the page.

    I play email scrabble and online scrabble,, and I love the people who challenge words like Za, Qi, Tui, and some people STILL challenge toque!
