^I see different numbers, but even if you go at 30 some thousand, that’s only two years to match all of the decade in Viet Nam.

But, the real issue is, why do we need “furriners” to come here to kill and terrorize, when we do such a good job domestically?

All of this was a predictable outcome of toppling Saddam. If the Bush Administration had any sense, they would have set up Iraq as a federation of Shia, Sunni & Kurd states & let them decide if it was worth staying together. They ignored lessons from the break up of Yugoslavia & the dominos fell as expected.Short of keeping a few hundred thousand American troops stationed in the Middle East indefinitely, there is not a lot we can do to stop the fighting. We’ve already armed everyone on all sides. Sending more arms is going to increase the body count.Nearly half the Syrian refugees are currently in Turkey. Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt & Iraq have almost all of the rest. Last time I checked, those are Muslim countries. The fighting has dragged on so long, most refugees have given up hope of returning. Turkey does not want them to work or become permanent residents, so they are trying to move where they think they may have better opportunities: Europe. Europe chose not to adequately fund refugee camps, so they are seeing the consequences of that decision, including the danger of would be terrorists hiding among refugees. At the end of the day, it seems pretty clear that some of us think we have a moral obligation to do what we can to help, others are more than happy to let millions die. Most of them are people who don’t understand why America is regarded as the Great Satan.

“Assad is bad but not as bad as Al Qaeda or ISIS.”So, you’re willing to give Iran a huge victory? Assad has always been a close ally of Iran & at this point, would be little more than a puppet should he prevail. Only a fool would think that there is any outcome that’s really in our favor at this point.

Anyone notice that the Iran and Saudi Tribes are not getting many refugees. The migrants know where NOT to go.

Mr Breem, a moving toon. When you see that baby on the beach, it does break your heart.Of course, concerns over terrorists being sent masked as refugees abound. Unfortunately, we allowed the 9/11 thugs into our country with visas. So that didn’t work out well for us either.

That baby on the beach had nothing to do with the refugee crisis. The father took the whole family, on a rickety boat, going to another country to get dental work done (on the father) because it was cheaper in the other country. Pay attention!!
