This wave is actually having a greater impact on Southern Europe than the U.K. Italy in particular is feeling the impact.Where the Brits are feeling it is at the channel tunnel. There’s a huge refugee camp around the French entrance to the thing

While the sun-bather isn’t British, he represents the EU in general, Britain is particularly obtuse to the whole crisis. I’m in Austria which is receiving an unprecedented number of refugees that it is over-whelming their services to the point of seeming completely incompetent (or unwilling, whichever way one looks at it). Germany, too, is accepting record numbers of asylum applications. Sweden, another country known to provide refuge, is also finding itself overwhelmed. But it is nothing in comparison to Italy or Greece. In turn, their experiences are nothing compared to Turkey, Lebanon… While Britain claims a crisis in Calais from a thousand to 2 thousand and amplifies it to several thousand. Meanwhile the EU dithers about what to do and the UK refuses to face up to to it.

The USA & the UK in particular… their folly into the middle-east, arguably kicking off this whole debacle in 2003 by destabilising the whole region, are thay receiving more numbers of asylum seekers relative to their population size and economic power? Hell,no.
