“Dad” is just like my husband. Come to think of it I’m pretty handy with tools myself, so is our oldest daughter (she completely renovated her kitchen by herself, including removing/refinishing & replacing all her cabinets! and removing all the flooring, replacing the subfloor and putting in new flooring!). Our son is learning, slowly, and he’s the oldest, 33 years old. Some men just don’t have the knack!

Patch patch, level level, hammer hammer

That’ll teach you to keep your mouth shut Irving. Though now I’m jealous that you don’t have a screw loose any more.

Irving is too stupid to be practical. Cathy’s dad has a chalange on his hands.

Fathers-in-law have unique leverage. I know mine set me straight pretty well - although if he’d lived another 20 years he could have done a lot more, since he had had built a house from scratch including the foundation, plumbing and electricity.

If I hadn’t been married to his daughter, though, I doubt I ever would have paid the attention (and paid the dues!) it took to learn at his knee, so to speak. [“Now squeeze yourself through that mud under there and find the hole to ram that bolt up through …”]

    Love it.

Hope all the dads had a great day yesterday!
