No, it isn’t. I have a picture I took of when I did it about 10 years ago. There is more to it than the equinox, you also have to have the moon in alignment with the sun directly on the opposite side of the Earth, (so when you have a ‘New Moon’). It lasted about 3 min, then the egg would no longer balance.
One of the first things I did when I arrived at my Hotel in Australia was to see if the water vortex is counter clockwise when the toilet is flushed. It’s not.
