When is Cathy going to get pregnant? We know she is complusive and loves to shop and is always worried about gaining weight. Get her pregnant and she can really become neurotic
Cathy? Pregnant? By all that’s sacred, pray that never happens!
Seriously, other characters have done the commentary on motherhood, children, and all that. It’s a running gag that Cathy never has children and her mother is obsessed with grandchildren. I would like to see more jokes about how her child-bearing years are running out; I remember one from a strip that must have been back a decade or so. Or, once the strip stops running, she could become pregnant and find that spark of sanity that must be inside somewhere.

My late parents’ garage looked like this. Their cars were parked in the driveway while their pack-ratted stuff stayed comfy warm in their garage.
