All of the F-117As have been retired and mothballed. They don’t provide much protection anymore.

    F-35s are significantly superior.

Uh, just reading about cost overruns and problems with engines etc on the F-35– another boondoggle that probably will NOT live up to expectations, or promises, just like the F-22, but even more expensive, and a bigger piece of junk. $300 BILLION down the tubes, with “maintenance” contracts exceeding another $300 billion- what a deal!!

Eh, Japan doesn’t seem to be very stingy when it comes to that. Didn’t they build an F-16 variant that costs approximately 4 times as much?

Korea is building one that is much cheaper F-50, but we won’t give them the electronics that would make it better than the venerable F-16 which has been modified way beyond being an abortion, to make it all things to all missions- the very starting point for the 35- an intercepter, ground support, and VTOL on one airframe- they’re nuts. Let’s buy some new A-10 warthogs for ground support and something cheaper to get an air to air missile within 120 miles of the target. (F-22 mission)
