Jim Wright says there is no need to force them into Wal*mart. Just publicize a sale on guns, ammo, camouflage stuff, and frozen nuggets, open the doors and stand back.
No one from Texas (or who knows) has answered about who is paying the Texas State Guard (or whatever the name is) to monitor the Feds’ “invasion” of Texas. Is it a volunteer organization like the Cliven Bundy gang?
If you read some of the ‘informed’ comments of our resident post-n-run right-wingers, you’ll find they actually believe this is happening. ( Go check out yesterday’s Matt Davies ) Funny how none of them have yet responded to THIS ‘toon, isn’t it?
The sad thing is that there are really adult-age people who believe crap like this. That’s how Donald Trump and Ted Cruz can be considered viable presidential hopefuls.
Way back in the 1960’s, I was a member of the California National Guard. One of our entire two week summer camp programs was with a federal exercise called Operaiton Desert Storm. It was the largest peacetime military operation in history, and involved some 2.5 million military personel, including my Nationa Guard unit. Two opposing armies were involved. One started in the Mojave desert out at Camp Irvin, and one started (wait for it) in the great state of Texas. With such a hugh army in their state, would it not have been more logical for Texans to have been worried about then than now, especailly as this was also the time of all of those anti Vietnahm War protests?
This current federal military operation has only some 2,700 military personel involved totally (only about 0.1 % of Desert Storm), and even those are spread through seven different states. Are the people of Texas really that paranoid as to expect this small a number of federal military people to take over their entire state???

The Texans who think this are in their shelters, with their weapons, waiting to die for their freedom from the “invaders” who aren’t coming.

It’s obviously the cumulative effect on the brain of toxins in the water supply…. but we don’t need the EPA with their job killing clean water rules.

I’m not aware that any of the declarations are “forced”. Cartoonist is obviously
