I knew my great-grandmothers on my Mom’s side- one lived to 102. My grandparents on my Dad’s side were gone before I was born. Dad’s family always felt ‘old world, NYC immigrants,’ while Mom’s were ‘small town, Upstate NY, straight out of Normal Rockwell.’
