The military and US news outlets are acting like they just now discovered that corruption is rampant in the Iraqi army. The chain of command steals everything that can be converted into money, and then still expects the soldiers to go and die for a corrupt, sectarian government?

One of the sickest things I ever saw on TV was W greeting war amputees in the White House and talking about how cool it was that they were able to be fitted with high tech prosthetics. He was truly gleeful at a time calling for retrospective thought.

The only universal language in the Pentagon today is ; contracting. (Even the U.S. intelligence is indeed now contracted, military and “civillian” agencies.)

The Iraq War accomplished all the great things it was intended to accomplish. The price of oil had fallen to less than $50 a barrel, about the cost of production, leaving our Greatest, Hardest Working Americans destitute, unable to afford filet, lobster, caviar and champagne. This intolerable situation could not be allowed to continue, so the War got the price up to a more reasonable almost $150 a barrel, whereupon our Great Leaders were able to sell their oil holding at the top and have the money to buy them back once prices reach bottom (and, as our Great Leaders, they are able to figure stuff out that the lazy cannot, because they sit in US government meetings where this information is shared but secret, so it is NOT insider trading when they use that information)..A free-lance reporter got an article into the Sunday New York Times where he went to interview the Free Syrian Army for a few weeks, and got to study Jabhat al-Nusra for about a year. He learned that the Free Syrian Army is NOT Free, Not Syrian, and NOT an Army, but are a marketing service to get US money and weapons for Jabhat al-Nusra and the DA (formerly Da3sh in Arabic or ISIS in English, but now ‘the self-proclaimed IS’ in English)..http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/28/magazine/theo-padnos-american-journalist-on-being-kidnapped-tortured-and-released-in-syria.html.

It is fortunate that the US has promised to give the Free Syrian Army lots of money, weapons, and training so they can overthrow the evil Syrian regime that blasphemes by protecting Christians and other infidels. The Free Syrian Army PROMISED they’d never go into Iraq or kill American prisoners, and we know we can trust them.

I did see a list of prominent Democrats and republicans who have served; the Democratic list is about twice as long as the republicans.
