Bouncing ball dashes, head spinning swirls, radiating questions marks, the shiny reflection in the smooth round surface! All great cliche cartoon techniques. But what is the bubble reflecting, a window? .You know, when I was little I drew primitive cartoons and put all those things in my drawings without knowing what they meant. I still have a picture of a bird “singing” a quarter note..A memory blast from the past: In Kindergarten, I drew Superman and gave him blue hair. Why? Because in comic books the color blue was mixed with the black in his hair to represent highlights. The teacher tried to correct me on that, and I got very frustrated. I KNEW Superman had blue hair!
