The Right contends they are all good Christians! What a joke.

People quickly forget the hatred expressed for Bush when he was in office and is still expressed in may places like in this column. There was even a book published on how to assassinate Bush.

The hatred for Truman was greater than for Bush because of the Korean war which people did not understand and in which we lost 50,000 young men.

History now judges him as one of our better residents.

History will judge both Bush and Obama by the situation in the middle east. My guess is that Obama will lose because he puled out too soon.

And that’s why the Secret Service is stretched thin and exhausted, and making so many mistakes.

Bush deserved every bit it the vitriole aimed at him. He brought us 911, two wars and the deaths of thousands of Americans and Middle Easterners. he brought us a trashed economy, torture, high unemployment. What did Obama bring us? A fixed economy, national healing, a better rep with the world, saved auto industries, health care….Oh sorry, I keep forgetting….he’s black. My bad.Oh and by the way, nimrod, Bush set the date for pull out, not Obama. He just followed the plan.

Tallguy9836, if Obama was a leader he would have evaluated the circumstances at that time instead of blindly following Bush’s lead. If he had, the Near East would not be in as big of a mess as it is now.

The fact that the was raised since the age of two by his white mother and grandmother has nothing to do with his lack of leadership.

Two things that many folks here are forgetting:

    1. As tallguy said, the withdrawal from Iraq was negotiated by Bush, and when Obama asked the Iraqis for an extension, they refused. But I suppose all you neocons who cheered our war of choice there in the first place don’t really give the tail of a rat for national sovereignty anyway, do you?

    2. Almost everyone seems to be missing the point of this cartoon, which is signaled in part by the noose: the disgusting level of human horridness being aimed at Obama over Twitter has strong racial overtones, with, for instance, images of Obama being lynched along with countless instances of the worst sort of racial slurs. Basically, what Obama’s inauguration onto Twitter has done is to once again expose the racist underbelly of our country by giving white supremacists and other unmitigated racists a platform from which to expose themselves. You may not want to believe it’s there, but you can see it right in Twitter—though I wouldn’t suggest visiting the feed unless you want your face to melt or you yourself are the sort of racist who would post such things in the open to the country’s elected president.

Don’t forget that there were likely some daddy issues going on between George the Younger and George the Elder. Saddam had been alleged to have hatched an assassination plot against Dad Bush over ten years prior, and Kid Bush cited that during the run-up to the invasion as another reason for going in. You know, teach the one dude a lesson by killing thousands of other folks.
