I don’t think the author thought this one through completely. He must have had a leftover birthday cartoon by Alex Graham at his fingertips in the archives, but missed the Mother’s-Day boat entirely.

It is Mother’s Day in over 75 countries, including those which are either now or had been under Britsh control which make up a large fraction of Fred’s fans, eg New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the US, India, etc.
True, the Mrs. is not a mom, although mentally I guess I do include Fred lol, but I’m surprised the author didn’t do a wee more reseach.
