This is kind of an interesting situation. Most of the public officials are black. I guess they must discriminate too.

This reminds me of the riots in Baltimore in the ’60s. And yes, I was there then.

IMO Prez Obama and the new AG Lynch told the Mayor and Maryland officials to “use due restraint” in reacting to the rioters. Both need to be put in the Dunce Corner with the Mayor.-Giving protestors “room to express themselves” is not a sane decision in the middle of looting and stealing and setting fires and trying to injure Police and Firefighters! -Reporters were endangered, one was saved by a business owner (a minority) with a gun, from harm by those “protestors”!-City Police, National Guardsmen, State Police, stood helplessly by under orders from the President on down through the state authorities. They gave the Burn Baltimore Down thugs a free pass.-P.C. Chickens. Dock their pay.

Baltimore shows what 50 years of liberal plantation welfare gets you.

I love this mother grabbing her hooded son by the ear and pulling him from the riot. She hits him a little but she is going to have none of it. Makes him take off the hood and head on home.http://tv.bamargera.com/mom-of-the-year-forcefully-drags-son-away-from-rioting/

We were sent to Balitmore after the Martin Luther King Jr assassination to do riot control. We ended up that time just sitting around for three days.

I was at Watts during the ’65 riots when my great uncle lived there. His black neighbors protected him, and pointed out the common situation, the looters and “rioters” were OUTSIDERS, just as after the Rodney King looting (Irony that a civili rights leader and a petty crook were both named King?)

The people of Baltimore are most likely NOT the ones doing the looting and destruction. Just like Iraqi merchants and kids didn’t do “shock and awe” on their communities.

Maybe there is reason to fear “outsiders”, who aren’t immigrants seeking a better life they’re willing to WORK for?

BTW: liked the clip of the mom slapping the doo-dah out of her son and pulling him out of the area. She represented the way most adults feel about not messing up your own neighborhood.

Ya know, Steve, when I first heard the Mayor say those words, I thought myself, " there are people hearing that that will misconstrue what she just said – and, sure enough…"

Some people seem to think that changes of this character is able to be done over night.

Meanwhile, did this cartoonist ever comment on the behaviour of the cops, or did I miss it?He might look up how many people are killed by cops in America, and then compare it to other nations…but then HE’d be rioting too…
