I guess trying to find a way to peacefully get along and influence other countries to be more democratic just takes too long for all the impatient war mongering conservatives. Uhm, Japanese history books read very differently from those of other nations. Atrocities are not mentioned. President Abe, backed by many other pols and leaders, are denying, or at least, minimizing their sins toward Korea and China. And Germany today has quitye a few (mostly young) holocaust deniers.

It was an atrocity. But it was a 100 years ago. We should learn from history. Not ceaselessly argue about whose fault it was.
