Man is trying to turn a new leaf but no support. Look at the disappointment on his face. Next stop- the watering hole.

Poor Andy, no support from Flo. You should borrow a twenty from her, go to the pub, and drown your sorrows with Chalkie.

Instead of applying for all these bank-loans, Andy should just play the lottery.

    More money and better odds

I would probably laugh, to be like dumb criminial acts we read or see on tv. Flo I have to agree you should have gone for the loan since you are the worker of the two but you have to remember the interest rate that would need to be paid back. Can imagine bankers reading over people loans who don’t have the money.

The Brits apparently don’t have a Community Re-investment Act to force mortgage lenders to make bad loans.

Along with Freddy, Fanny, and the Federal Reserve making billions of cheap money available to banks, these were the main causes of the economic down-turn, when lenders could no longer ignore the fact that they weren’t going to get their money back from people buying homes they couldn’t afford.

    How embarrassing for Andy!

If only Flo could get her spending under control, the bank might then extend the needed credit. Once she changes her extravagant lifestyle, things will change for the better.

Most of us have been in your position Andy. Just keep setting the good example that you have for all these years and someday she might come around.

pschearerGenius - You are correct sir, we do not have a Community Re-investment Act as you say. Unfortunately the banks still managed to bugger it up for the us and had to be bailed out or nationalised. Funny thing though is nobody seems to have gone to jail for this comedy of errors. Looks like I am in the wrong line of business, as I actually work and pay taxes for the privalage of bailing these idiots out.

Our hero, Andy, has made someone’s Christmas a little happier, despite his own troubles.

What a politically incorrect bank! They don’t call it a Winter Solstice Function?

Andy stands by his woman. Flo is the one who continuously threatens to leave him to get what she wants. Why didn’t she go to the bank herself? She did it to humiliate poor Andy. She not-so-secretly enjoys seeing him get humiliated. She should be so lucky Andy sticks around, he loves her so.
