Well it is a brain disease called Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy or BSE. Creates holes in the brain. There is a human variant called HSE. It can lie dormant in your brain for 25-40 years then will activate an kill you slowly an horribly. Strangely what causes it is barely known and though it functions like an infection it isn’t a normal pathogen. It is a normal brain protein that has been refolded about 7-8 times. Then it can go on for a long time after the body death up to at least 3 years and still be infectious to other proteins. A new kind of pathogenic threat.
Feeding cows rendered cows is the cause. Though it is illegal to do so since at least 2003 it has a loophole. You can feed cows to other food animals then feed those food animals rendered to cows. And unless they have stopped it there are millions of time bombs out there. They may be going off and it is said to be Alzheimer’s not H.S.E. The Canadians found out around that time when the autopsies of those reportedly killed by Alzheimer’s were found to have brains riddled by HSE.
