A friend of mine had a basset hound and left him tied up outside a Post Office while he went to send a parcel by air mail to his aunt, who lives in Vancouver.
Anyway, Ted, the basset hound, was hit by a reversing delivery truck. Both his back legs, and his hip, were broken.
Despite the best efforts of a very competent vet, Ted had to be put to sleep.
It was a truly terrible time for my friend, who to this day holds himself responsible.

I was certain she’d make into the choir. Are they picking the Mr. because of his piano playing or singing? Fred is very proud of his owners.
