No, his job is writing flaky predictions about the economy in the newspaper! There are several like that in various newspapers. As Thomas Jefferson said, the most honest things in a newspaper are the advertisements!

I guess I misunderstood when Obama said redistribute the wealth.

Yeah, redistribute, but the man ain’t “Robin Hood”. He said redistribute, but to who’s pocket was not detailed.

i think all the politicians and economists should be made to live off minimum wage in these economic times for a full year so they can grasp what every day people are dealing with

I thought Jefferson said the comics were the only things to believe.

yyyguy, and a recovery is when Pelosi and Reid lose their jobs.

bald, that’s probably a good idea, but all the politicians and economists typically don’t make minimum wage because they’ve prepared themselves for something more than menial and/or manual labor by paying attention in school, and contuning their educations beyond the primary level. For the life of me, I can’t understand why people think unskilled labor should be paid the same as skilled labor.

MisngNOLA–your point is entirely valid. However, in the case of what bald is suggesting it is not permanent. It would be something done in order to get their attention. Most of them, because of their preparation, have no clue how the rest of us actually live.

Economists: people who see something working in practice and try to figure out if it would work in theory.

MisngNOLA said, “but all the politicians and economists typically don’t make minimum wage because they’ve prepared themselves for something more than menial and/or manual labor by paying attention in school, and contuning their educations beyond the primary level.”

Yeah, they sure did, like being crooks!!! It takes MUCH education to pull that off and not get thrown in jail!!!

@benbrilling, I’ve also seen that quote as “Economists: people who see something working in practice and prove that it cannot work in theory.”

@BigChiefDesoto, one reason that the ads are more accurate is that the consumers will quit buying from a company or store that consistently cheats them. Even more true when claims about nutrition have to be verified by the FDA.
