if the far left and the far right are against it, maybe we should give compromise a chance. after all, wasn’t that what everybody said we needed to do in the first place?

It’s a stupid and destructive package at 1.1 trilllion dollars, but the “defense” budget is almost 700 billion with the “public” edition, and is closer to 1.3 TRILLON, annually, if you include the “black box” version. And that does not include the promised out-year contracting.
