When I was young, old folks complained about “aches and pains”. But they never really told us how MUCH those aches and pains HURT!
Does the groan make me feel less pain, or is it a sympathy pain for the benefit of someone else? I occasionally wonder why I groan when there is nobody around to hear me!.Maybe if I could record the groan and play it back later? Oh, never mind…
