The FBI and the CDC strongly disagree with the race baiting going on.

Mr. Britt, Charles Barkley never called Eric Garner a scumbag! Exaggeration is one thing, but stop lying!

I agree with Barkley’s statement, in it’s complete context.

The video of Mr. Garner showed him TALKING and saying he can’t breath, he was NOT BEING CHOKED! You cannot talk when air isn’t passing through your vocal cords, and lungs. It’s sad Mr. Garner died from asthma complications, and chest compression during his arrest, which led to his failure and demise an hour AFTER the arrest, and receiving first aid on the scene, as only CNN seems willing to show happening after the officers realized he had a medical problem, and sought care for him.

Garner was HUGE, and the cop took him down with a hold around his neck, but it was NOT a “choke” hold. I’ve used both neck holds, and in one single case, yes, that nefarious “choke” hold, when the guy was trying to kill our jailer, and was high on PCP and other (almost everything available) drugs. Where would YOU grab a guy who’s bigger around than your arms can reach to bring him down when it appears from behind that he’s going after the smaller cop in front of him with “intent”??

Which, “postural asphyxiation” appears to be the downfall of Mr. Garner, NOT “choking”, and I’ve read of a couple such cases years ago when prisoners were cuffed with their hands behiind them, and placed face down in the back of patrol cars, It’s extremely rare, but can happen.

Yes, the “rest of the story” that was taped DID show both EMS and police working over Mr. Garner to help him.

Another btw: all the commentators saying “they should have given him CPR.” You NEVER administer CPR to an individual who’s breathing, even poorly, and who has a heartbeat, because YOU WILL THEN KILL THEM!! (overwelming their own natural rythyms and systems)
