    SueB1863, “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” wasn’t on CBS until 1972. Between 1964-71, it was aired on NBC.

    When I was a kid in the 50’s we didn’t have TV, but we did have a 78rpm record of Gene Autry singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

    The only thing that bothered me were the sequels they did. In the first show, Rudolph was all grown up at the end. But in the sequels, he’s a half grown calf again. Just didn’t seem right.
