Charles Krauthammer said it perfectly today:“we know what lay behind Obama’s smooth reassurances — the arrogance of an academic liberalism that rules in the name of a citizenry it mocks, disdains, and deliberately, contemptuously deceives.”
When the conservative argument runs out of content, they turn to the old reliable, and take opposition statements totally out of context, and incomplete, then call them “quotes”.
“Ri-i-i-i-ight, that’s why academic liberals work so hard to help the poor get decent medical insurance.”.A stupid law that relied heavily on the ignorance of supporters with good intentions is hardly a call for celebration..http://www.forbes.com/sites/aroy/2012/04/23/trustees-medicare-will-go-broke-in-2016-if-you-exclude-obamacares-double-counting/
I am honestly confused as to how they can read that quote and still think the ACA and Obama are wonderful. While the focus has been on Gruber, it seems the view was reflective all the way up the ACA food chain where they relied on ignorance as an asset.
Gruber, Obama and the rest of the 0care architects lied to the American people (it’s on tape), and obfuscated the numbers to keep the CBO from declaring the costs a tax.Shorter: they lied, and lied some more, to get it passed.Classic ivory-tower liberal tactics from people who hold Americans in contempt.

“Odd how ‘fiscally conservative’ Republicans can’t appreciate that.” So you’re saying that people who disagree with you are…what’s the word…stupid?

It’s all out of “contempt.”No, it’s done to out of control. Having a big centralized government to control every aspect of your life.
