Hmm, ignore the law, go into a panic, and insist on locking people up without due process, and folks think he should be President??? Hmm, and how did we fill up Gitmo?
It’s long past time to close Gitmo, and restore law and common sense, and yes, there IS enough blame to go around!
It IS up to the states to minister to public health and quarantines, not the Feds, who can only give advice and provide information. Which is sad, because it means that in red states, we get lousy public health. (Average state spending on public health: $27 per citizen per year. State spending in Missouri: $6 per citizen per year.) While neither Christie nor Clay Bennett are epidemiologists, Bennett has the brains to listen to those who are epidemiologists. Christie didn’t even consult the New Jersey Department of Public Health. This was never intended to be a decision based on science. It’s based on pandering to the cowardice of the conservative base.

Well, Bully for you, Christie. Tell some more people who still are not in their homes to sit down and shut up.

^Well, given the wing-nut brigade out this year, I’d say yes, and it’s not just a lack of intellect, but out-and-out crazies infecting the party.

It’s been a winning strategy for a few years now. Works for climate change, health care, guns, gays, etc.
