32 individuals contributed more money in the last presidential election than all other donors combined. That makes it seem like it is impossible for the middle class to have any say in what happens in this country. Nothing could be further from the truth. Those 32 people only have 32 votes. The Middle Class has millions…………………………………………………………………………The only thing that is going to save the Middle Class is the Middle Class. We are the 99%—- that means we have the votes to elect people who will actually represent middle class workers and provide a safety net for those who are trying to get into the middle class. We all need to know WHO is supporting the candidates. That is who they will be working for. They have no choice if they want to stay in office. You have to do the bidding of whoever is paying your way, just the same as we all do in our jobs. So, before going to vote, look it up on the internet. Open Secrets is a good site, but there are plenty…………………………………………………………………….. If the candidate is getting their money from small donors or from unions, they are going to be working for middle class working people. If their donations are from corporations or from 1%ers, that’s who their votes are going to be working for. They are not going to go against them and do anything to help the middle class. It would be political suicide.

Dlee4144, you forget that traditionally the Democratic party was the party of the South, labor unions and wealthy eastern liberals. Now the Democrats have lost the south and traditional labor unions but they still have the wealthy. How do you think Obama raised one billion dollars for his last election.

Mostly from small donors. The Democrats have very few of the wealthy. The only ones I can think of are George Soros, about whom I’ve heard nil this cycle, and a California hedge fund manager who concentrates mostly on the environment.

“Barack Obama raised more than $36 million last month for an account he shares with the Democratic Party, close to half of it from wealthy California donors who gave up to $61,600 each.”.Wow, how can the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson stand up to an onslaught like that?.“Adelson is, indeed, a super donor. He gave in the range of $150 million to Republican candidates and causes in 2012, according to ProPublica. That, Politico noted, was more than anyone else has given in the history of American presidential politics.”.

“The Koch brothers’ group, Americans for Prosperity, spent $122 million.”. That would be 2012, not the 2008 donations referenced above.

There’s more profit in bombing.they started work on a cure and a vaccine ten years ago, but there wasn’t enough profit in it to continue, so…Obama.
