In this day and age, saving for anything including kids college education is out of the question. Do well in school to get scholarships and loans for the rest. Hell, I’m doing that now for myself.

Can’t understand why people put off feeding their family NOW to save for college a decade or more in the future when there are scholarships and loans. Guess I’m weird like that.

Agree, I think kids get more out of college if they have to work to help pay for it. Never understood why parents would do with out and put them shelves in debit so the kids could go to college and party…

Unless my kids can pay for it they will go to community college for the first two years and then transfer to an in-state public university for the last two years. If they want anything more it’s their responsibility.

I love this one! We middle class common folks had our oldest accepted at Ivy League Cornell. Our youngest is going to a state college. Both got in where they wanted to go. You do what you gotta do!
