Dana left out the GOP’s quote: The only thing you need is fear itself.

Well, it was supposed to be something only said to Obama, not for public consumption. Apparently the new mikes paid off :)

And hey, guess what - if it passes, it will be a big bleeep deal, if only because the GOP opposed it every step of the way.

Is that the same thing as putting food on our families? or Is it the same as Cheney telling Leahy to go F himself? At least loose lips Biden wasn’t being a vindictive little prick about it.

Now that I look at it why is she quoting two presidents and end with a vice president? As if I tune into my t.v. to see what the vice president has to say.

    Typical Dana.

What’s the big deal, GW Bush was foul mouthed and gave many of his detractors the “bird”. The “main stream media” reported some of those instances.

Well, it shouldn’t be about f*g, or who does what to whom and when.

Unfortunately, the 0bama crowd has yet again reignited the class warfare.

I am not interested in screwing anybody, but I really would like 0bama to get the hell out of the way of our economic growth.

Your class warfare call is BS – that war is fought from the top down.

Also – the banks need to get out of the way of economic growth. If they’d start lending and put foreclosures on hiatus that’d go a loooooooong way.

“Your class warfare call is BS – that war is fought from the top down.”

You are stock in the 19th century Marxism.

Banks have the money, but there are not many creditworthy takers - particularly small businesses. The level of economic / tax & regulation uncertainty is unprecedented, so why risk … .?

Even 911 didn’t succeed to derail our economic engine as much as the 0bama administration’s machinations.

Given what the economic growth was when he came into office, I’d say he should have gotten the hell INTO its way. And hey, I’d say that is just what the voters wanted - Obama was trusted more on economy than his more pro-market opponent.

“Obama was trusted more on economy than his more pro-market opponent.”

The operative word here is ‘trusted’ - note the past thence!

In a crisis people sometimes panic and do irrational things - that is how Hitler got into power.

Actually, the operative word may be “more than his opponent.” That’s democracy - the people make their choice, and sometimes they are wrong. Hey, it might have even happened to you a few times ;) .

As I said before, that is exactly how Hitler and others, of like radical disposition got democratically into power.

The past tense is important, because, though 0bama is still personally liked, which fact alludes me, as I personally cannot stand him, as he reminds of Mussolini, his policies are ever less popular.

Indeed, I dare say that, were the elections to be replayed today, he would not win.

“In a crisis people sometimes panic and do irrational things - that is how Hitler got into power.”

That is exactly how the American people let themselves get talked into Iraq being a great place to invade. And exactly how PNAC knew it would play out.

“Indeed, I dare say that, were the elections to be replayed today, he would not win”

It’s easy to say that, as the elections would not be repeated. Yet I’m not sure just what you are trying to say - people have made wrong choices on the booths in crisis, just as they’ve made right ones.

Personally, I’d say Reagan might be a closer parallel, but that’s just me.

Sure Yix… there is something that transcends us by light-years…. but it transcends our understanding by twice that. So don’t pretend your 2000 year old dirt farmer stories are even remotely indicative of God.

That said… I don’t mind that it’s on our money. It only troubles me that this country is full of childish puritans who have no idea that they’re so far in the dark when it comes to God… and that they’re such pushy little pr!cks about it.
