Brad is so in love with you" Toni says, "And I am with him. Yet you're still afraid I'll hurt him" Nancy says, "I should let go of my fears, I know that. But as I said, it's hard" Toni says, "Maybe start with a little 'forgive' and the 'forget' will take care of itself"

It was more than his looks. He was a coach potato loser. He was out of shape, unserious and irresponsible. His sole delights were tearing apart his car and tearing down his sister. As far as Toni was concerned, he was just another loser trying to hit on her, and she treated him accordingly. Who could blame her?
Then came the Zane rescue. She accepted the invite to the parade and the party afterwards. She still had her shield up and still treated him like dirt, but she at least acknowledged that he existed.
Her shield remained up until he — at TJ’s suggestion — told her a rude joke. Totally unexpectedly, it turned out that she loves rude jokes. It broke the ice and the shield came down. They had something in common. Later they would find other similar interests like cars. She never treated him like dirt again.
