Maria says that, but being a child doesn’t realize that what she doesn’t know can hurt her. (and probably would.)

Every time I see those backpacks I keep expecting them to pull out a nine iron.

Rita is not ignorant she just sees the world differently.

Btw, that bus certainly has a plethora of mirrors. Love the frowny face though.

Still love the size of their backpacks. When I went to school, we didn’t have such things and had to carry our books or put them in lockers.

(Said in a pensive tone), sometimes I look at my cats and wonder if they know how lucky they are not to be human. They are happy and ignorant….

While waiting to pick up the mud monster, I once saw a little girl with a backpack that had to weigh as much as she did. Fortunately, my daughter didn’t care to know that much….

Many schools have now outlawed these things. Duplicate books, for example, so only papers need be carried. Too easy (and, apparently, normal) to smuggle in weapons and forbidden foods with the big backpacks.

Fortunately, the Assistant Principal’s dad was a friend of mine, or she’d still be in High School….
