The term genius has become overused to the point where its true meaning has lost its impact. This is certainly not the case when describing the talents of Robin Williams, an entertainer who was truly worthy of the title.
We are very fortunate to live in an era of mass media, whereWilliams’ performances have been recorded for posterity. Years from now people will still be admiring and studying his techniques in the same way we currently do with greats like Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton.

Good toon, and as the theme’s been everywhere today, wonder how my grandfather’s boyhood friend would actually have done today with his calm, intelligent, and well-aimed manner? BTW that boyhood friend was Will Rogers.

What a great depiction: Robin Williams was a fantastic comedian, and the only one to earn an Oscar doing serious work as well.

The familiar masques of the stage. How completely, sadly, and eerily fitting for Robin Williams. So very, very sorry to say good-bye.

It is a tragic loss for us, but especially for his friends and family. My heart goes out to their grief.
