Weapons, yes. But for a long, long, time, many reports of these tunnels to bring in food and medicine, along with other items past the Israeli blockade far exceeded the needs of the people of Gaza, and were reported in most of the world, just not often in the U.S., hmm, AIPAC DOES stand for American Israeli Public Affairs Committee.

    If only that were true.

The tunnels take out terrorist, (murder & kidnap squads.) – Large percentage are all pointing into Israel.

The majority of the aid comes through Israel. If Hamas did not use Ambulances, prams etc to smuggle weapons & bombs into Israel then the need for draconian measures isn’t needed – and should not be used.

Fact: Palestinian girl’s life was saved by Israeli doctors, only for her mother to say she hopes her daughter will become a suicide bomber. Obviously reasonable for the Palestinian apologists!

Maybe if the right wing were not so consumed with creating a Christian theocracy in the US, Jews would be more willing to vote Republican.

Jews also know that conservative Christian Republicans believe the story that a Jewish state has to be established before the Rapture can occur. I think there would be far less Christian support for the state of Israel if they weren’t betting on seeing Rapture in their lifetimes, and they’re pretty used to seeing people take their side for reasons less than altruistic.

We could quibble that “right wing” is way farther right than “conservative”. I make that distinction in my mind, but I can see how my mind may not match yours.

So, you make a good point. I am guilty of over-generalization. I apologize.

What I should have said is that, although not all conservatives are interested in creating a Christian theocracy, most of those interested in creating a Christian theocracy are right wing and vote Republican. Can we agree to that?

And in that context, I think my main point is still valid. When non-Jews start a theocracy, Jews usually suffer disproportionately, so they will not join their voting bloc.

Denis: show me the pictures of all that damage in Tel Aviv. Outside of a few apartments a couple years ago, never seen any released.

Again for clarity BTW, my complaints are NOT with “Israel” per se, but with LIKUD, Netanyahu,, and the murderous bunch backing him, not those Israelis and Jews around the world opposed to his actions. And not, I don’t like Hamas any better, it is Palestinian Arabs (Christian as well as Muslim) I DO have sympathy for, because I’ve been involved in an unjust war, and so has my son…

I was reading today about the many Mideast Arabs and Arab leaders backing Israel’s defense against Hamas….I was amazed at how many want and pray that Israel wipes out Hamas once and for all.-Even some Arabs living under Hamas in Gaza are praying for Israel to liberate them from the hated dictatorship that cares nothing for the lives and deaths of Gazan citizens. They have ZERO “rights”….when Gazans protested about Hamas’ actions, they were immediately shot dead…..for speaking their opinion!
