Bassets weren’t bred for speed though.

Presumably they were bred for hunting bassets… and they were so jolly good they hunted them to total extinction ;-)

When my Cleo weighed 72 pounds her momentum chasing her cookie (plus inertia) easily surpassed 110 percent…..and to watch her try to stop on a slick tile floor……priceless…

And yes we put her on a diet to get her down to 65 pounds…
