If this was a daily strip, I’d guess that Mrs. Godfrey would probably find out about this and give them all detention for a month. But Sunday strips rarely have anything to do with the dailies.

Apparently, it’s not too uncommon for directors to do this. If you only get part of the script or only know what your character knows, your reaction tends to be more genuine. Plus, in this day and age, they always gotta be on guard for plot leaks.
