As for 1, I’m a huge believer in that little serif, although I don’t agree with European usage in which that serif becomes so huge they add a stroke to 7 to distinguish it. But until they make me King of Fonts, there is nothing I can to about it. (A European stroked 7 rotated 180 degrees is virtually identical to the Chinese character for seven. Coincidence?)
