My wife had outdoor dogs and cats before we were married. One dog had cats sleeping around him and at least one on top of him. Blanket for him, warmth and a pillow for the cats.
Well Whitey and Baby had all the kittens so Whitey decided where he wanted to lay and he would lay there a swipe with paw and they were “outta there” and he had HIS spot back….after all he was “daddy”.
