One especially nice detail is that crowd in the penultimate frame. Suddenly lots of faces, and hats being blown all over the place. McCay was an amazing illustrator!

Okay, enough with the “Little Sammy Sneeze.” If you’ve read one, you’ve read ’em all.

I like Sammy Sneeze. I am intrigued by the different implementations of the concept—somewhat the cartoon version of a Bach theme with variations. I am especially enjoying the editorial choice to show each sneeze in order of magnitude. Of course, after elephants, I’m not sure how much bigger we can go. Perhaps the lad can discomfit the gods themselves?

@mwbarr… Agreed, but it’s worth it just for the artwork.

Wonderful drawing. Can’t wait for LittleNemo to appear.

Perhaps Sammy (and Henrietta as well) were mutants. Or a pre-cursor to Sneezly Seal. Regardless, everyone is entitled to their opinion but i sure love being able to bask in every McCay panel. BTW, if you are Mike W Barr (a rhyme!) thanks for the most fun run of Batman in the last 50 years. If you aren’t then disregard.
