Don’t worry, the republicans will have the U.S. fighting shoulder to shoulder with Iran to maintain the Shiite in power.

Just as it was dangerous to be a Jew in Europe during the 1930’s, being a woman in the upcoming new Iraq is going to be brutal!

Sad that we have a President so firmly set on repeating what happened in Vietnam when we left.

So sad we have chickenhawks who’ve supported our idiotic interference in Iraq for decades SUPPORTING Saddam and giving him chemical weapons for his fight against Iran (and Kurds), until we told him to go ahead and invade Kuwait, then realized “OOPSIE!” and went to war AGAINST HIM, "cause he, mostly, just put out a contract on our “daddy”.

In added brilliance, these SAME chickenhawks cried out that Obama had to support the rebels fighting Assad, only to find out that now those same rebels are attacking our puppet al Malaki, who we knew before we put him in that he as a jerk, who might have been in power in ‘93 if Bush 41 hadn’t screwed up by not giving the Shia in the south the same air support he gave the Kurds to keep Saddam at bay, until THEY kicked him out and Iraq went the “democratic” course of Shia majority rule!

Make a list of how many things the U.S. has done in the Middle East that has worked well to accomplish peace since WW II? Nothing. The list of where we screwed up? That just keeps running up like the energizer bunny.

^Mangy: From the time I enlisted, until going to ‘Nam, I researched to find out what I was getting into, and OOPS! Boy were we screwing up. Things like An Lao, Manyang Pass, Bong Son plain, and up on the trail west of Kontum, I saw for myself just how badly we’d screwed up. I came back and attended rallies, in large part to tell protesters what was really going on, what they had right, and where they didn’t know what they were talking about.

Long before my son ended up in Iraq, we’d both researched history, and how we (the U.S.) had screwed the pooch so often not just in Iraq, but throughout the Middle East and South Asia. That goes back to in fact Lawrence of Arabia and King Faisal, who the west created Iraq for, and then screwed him, just to “get things rolling”. Need I mention the history of the Peacock Throne and Iran??

I didn’t actually need that degree in Entomology to know not to stick my hand, or foot, in a hornet’s nest, but it did give me a more “formal platform” to judge just how stupid our leadership under Reagan, Bush, and Bush reboot, was regarding their ignoring the lesson plan, Lebanon, Panama, Grenada, Nicaragua, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Timor, and other covert involvements we don’t discuss.(“national security concerns”, and Patriot Act)

Americans, especially on the right, don’t want to learn from history, biology, physics, chemistry, or even cultural anthropology, the only thing that matters seems to be guns, and shooting ourselves in the foot, and they don’t learn from that either. Just call the U.S. the “nation of stumpies”.

Is it yet dawning on Republicans/Fox “news” viewers that it was a monumental blunder to invade Iraq?
