I criticise Obama’s drone programme. I no longer sing the guy’s praises. But serioooooooouuuuusly, Summers? Your country’s hyper-partisanship is just so astonishing to an outsider like me.
So let’s see if I have this right… 5 ‘detainees’, (who should be returned anyway because the stupid war is done) are worth more than our young POW who put on our country’s uniform, picked up a gun and went to war for us? Where did in Afghanistan did you serve exactly? How long? Which branch of the military? I want to know how you became such an expert.
For over four decades I’ve had some questions about some of those represented by the black POW/MIA flags, folks I knew, some who were driven to desert by OUR government, one particular in order to remain with his wife and family OUR government, after five years, wouldn’t allow the man to bring home with him. He was reported MIA, but we knew he went to Thailand.
That aside, Summers insults them all with this ’toon.
