I’m not much good at crosswords either. Seems jigsaw puzzles are my go. Completed one in about 4 hours once and was so proud because on the box it said 6-12 MONTHS!
Lew, I can only imagine. I’m still proud of myself when I can complete the crossword in the in-flight magazine.
Yesterday my seatmate was amazed at how I did it on a one-hour flight. Didn’t have the heart to tell him I’d already completed about 75% of it on an earler flight, so I was just filling in the blanks for most of it!
My paper starts out really easy on Monday, as a confidence builder I guess…it’s a bit harder on Tuesday, and by Saturday, one has lost all the confidence gained when completing Monday’s xword. Sunday’s is usually a NY times reprint, and depending on the author, one has to know the capitals of Togo and Tonga and what birds migrate to Madagascar in autumn.

I’ll bet Fred can do the puzzle himself in about 10 minutes, not to take take away anything from his brilliant master.

I finish the New York Times crossword in pen between New Haven and Penn Central. Then I leap tall buildings in a single bound. Have you seen my meds?

When I have time for puzzles I prefer the word search kind.

I think Fred just really has to go bad and needs the paper, NOW!!!

6 years and up. I can usually do them in 2 years or less.

If Odie can do a sudoku in 2 panels, Fred should be able to do a xword in one.

I hope Fred’s master will not be like Jon to figure out on the crossword newspaper.
