^Yes, Republicans do try to come up with something new every day to blame on Obama or Democrats.
VA problems predate Obama, and having been in the system, it improved under Clinton, went down under “W” (multiple problems traceable to Congress as well, and things HAVE improved again under Shinseki in most regions for most veterans.
Another thing from that experience thing; two weeks after the election this fall, where will the politicians so concerned about us vets, be placing their efforts and concern??
We can support our troops and veterans by Emailing your senators and representatives to stop this foolishness investigating Benghazi and focus on, not so much finding blame, but over-hauling the system which is supposed to help our combat vets, physically and emotionally. GET RID OF THE UNION!. The combat vets deserve better care than what our congressmen give themselves.
What did the GOP do when a bill to boost the VA budget, create some new hospitals, work training programs, and scholarships came up last January? Oh, that’s right. They filibustered it so that it couldn’t even come up for a vote. You’ll know the Republicans care about veterans when they propose a bill do do something about VA problems. Which will be… oh, that’s right. Never.
A consideration on supporting the troops with true support: As Republicans shout “Benghazi, Benghazi” and security failures that got four folks killed, two contractor “troops” and two civilian “troops” with State, I suggest Americans think instead of a security failure, “New York, New YorK” that killed over 2,000 at home, and over 4,000 troops in Iraq, for lies they compounded from the lie they tried to start on 9/11 (but they had to wait a while when that lie failed quickly) the war they wanted before entering the White House.
Yes, support our troops, 24/7/365, by keeping them safe, from those who would ever again send them into harm’s way over a grudge.
The bill was a phony attempt by Republicans to have the House micro-manage another agency, instead of following the Constitution, and allowing the Executive to do its assigned job. Which is interesting, as when “W” was killing our troops for a grudge, they wanted Cheney’s “unitary Presidency”.

The cons only support the troops when they need to send them to die so that corporate profits can go up.
After that, the vets are on their own.

And the Cons failed even at that.
