Well, at least Cathy won’t spend very much money this time.

Oh yes she will. The drops that grow lashes are from the medicine for glaucoma. Friend uses the medicine and has glorious lashes and slowly going blind from the glaucoma..

Yes, when I heard that side effects for Latisse include possible change in the color of eyes, I decided not to try it, even though my lashes hardly show at all. That is WAY too intense.

It’s glaucoma medication? I thought that’s what medical marijuana was for… (hmm… could you see Cathy getting a post-pot case of the munchies? Aieee!)

Wow, that’s scary, pearlandpeach. Not that I’d ever do it, but now I can warn others. I found out yesterday that a friend does Botox, and that was too much for me.

14 days? She gave up after 14 days! Nothing like a little makeup to make one feel better. Not that I would know. :P

@pearlandpeach: your friend already had glaucoma or she would not have been taking the medication. I had to use it until I had surgery on both eyes to relieve the pressure in the eyeball. When I stopped the drops, my lashes went back to normal. I have seen the commercial for the eye lash enhancement, but I don’t think it would GIVE you glaucoma or it would not be allowed to be sold.

the presecription medicine does not give glaucoma, it is for glaucoma, to slow the progression of the disease.

the OTC is just for growing lashes and has side effects. but even this still needs a doctors supervision as it is a presecription but just for the lashes.

What you may not know is there is a inexpensive way to grow those lashes without a Dr. prescription. Rapidlash! I buy mine at CVS or Bed Bath and Beyond for about $50. Within a month it was really noticeable. Plus it grew in my meager brows too. I have no trouble with it and the only side affect so far are “out of control” lashes and much better brows!

On GMA a woman wanted longer fuller lashes, the procedure she had cost her, a hair transplant, now she has to trim her eyelasses. Me if I had a hair transplant I put where I lost hair at.

There are other lash enhancements: EXTENSIONS! This cost me only $13 at a beauty school, and I bought the lashes and special glue to do it myself. [$3.50 each, but Ulta has a sale on now.] Basically, it is a little clump of lashes that are glued to your existing lashes. It takes a little practice, but my lashes look natural and long. I don’t mess with mascara now.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody, but I think I’ll stick with good ol’ MASCARA.
