Churchie: land laws in the U.S. are interesting, like the fact that EVERY disposal act has called for the funds to go to public education. But, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (FLPMA) finally identified that retaining ownership, and management of resources, rather than disposal, was in the best interests of the taxpaying public. It also benefited those resource developers who continue to get access for fees next to free access, especially to minerals and grazing, but also forest products.
That Nevada refused to accept the lands they were offered is another issue that is ignored by the insanity sector of the debate like Bundy, Chuck Cushman, and other leaders in the “privatize” faction, who’ve never liked obeying the laws, or Constitution, very much.

Makes sense. At least the South Lawn has grass.

For those backing Bundy: Somalia and Yemen offer the life you seek. Goodbye, have a good time.
