May Day. Man, the unions and the communists really fell off the map since the days everyone knew what May Day was. Typically communists would have parades, and communist countries would have parades with massive displays of military materiél in the capital. This year Russia is doing parades in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Dagestan and Chechnya. China is having displays at sea near Japan, Philippines, S. Korea, VietNam, Indonesia and others.

As I recall, Labor Day is in the fall specifically to separate it from May Day.
