So far we have Quantum loop gravity and String theory. And now apparently Rat beer therory. We’ll see in the coming years which of them will withstand observations and experiments.My guess is that the prevailing theory will favour (or favor as you americans prefer it spelled) scotch single malt whisky…

Back in ‘65, I was in the Marine Corps and on a cruise to the Carribean. We docked at Willemstad, Curacao and myself and a few other Marines took a taxi into town. I happen to glance over the seat and saw that he was doing 100. I commented on how fast he was going and that’s when I learned about kilometers. I was just an 18yo kid out of Alabama. Didn’t know about metrics!
