I know what I'll do! I'll bunt! The element of surprise! That's what wins ball games! CRUNCH! ...and destroys bats. I didn't know carbon fiber could break like that.
Ball hit bat. Bat did not hit ball. If Nate had swung the bat, I can imagine wood chips landing all around him. He isn’t wearing any sort of close-fitting gloves, so he could have received splinters in his hands, too, if he had swung.
Well, if Chester broke the bat with a ball, the impact on the bat could’ve slowed down the balls speed on the catcher’s hand. And plus, how does that count in a baseball game?

If Chad’s pitch could do that to a carbon-fiber bat then maybe it’s good he didn’t use an aluminum bat…!

I think we can test Chester for steroids based on this evidence.

This defies all laws of physics, even cartoon physics.
I’m wondering where the American/National League scouts are. They’d sign up Chester in a heartbeat and put him in training camp.
Heh. I think I’m going to watch “Rookie of the Year”…..

Chester threw the ball so hard, that the bat broke.
