I’m so sick of that biblical sandbox sh!t and the people fighting over it! Both sides are competing for our pitty like four-year olds. Both Palestinians and Israelians are so obsessed with their historical booboos that they freak out at the single thought that someone else in the world may be suffering and have the World’s sympathy. They think they have copyrights on suffering. It’s pathetic, lame, minable, miserabel (I know four languages and yet I don’t know enough words to explain how… …well, it’s pathetic.

I dunno. Maybe by leaving faith in church, synagogue, and mosque? Treating other people as civil citizens regardless of their creed?

Oh, silly me, I’m an atheist. Too much to hope for rational behavior from the deeply devout.

curiosity 1, you don’t like being stero-typed, please don’t throw a lot of good people in with the intolerables and fanatics. Will have to admitt your first point is excellent.

I did qualify it with deeply devout, as opposed to the simply devout. Not intended to offend anyone other than those who can’t see past their own religion.

To the good people who don’t march to the same tunes as the intolerables and fanatics - I apologize - and laud your ability to balance faith and reason.

Thanks Humph for the reminder that snarkiness often leads to trouble ;-)

Gaza is 29 miles along the length of the coast. (about the length of the 26 mile marathon), 5 miles wide for approx 18 miles (A trip TO the MALL), a 9 mile by 7 mile nob on the Egyptian border, a much smaller knob on the North border. If the Israelis would use the technology that the USA have GIVEN them, such as concrete penetrating radar, (15 year old technology), intelligent guided bombs of various capacities, that can penetrate CONCRETE BUNKERS, (10 year old technology). Infra red sensing and ID of almost any simple targets,(35 year old technology). At 150 MPH, it would take 12 minutes with ANY bomber, to travel from one end to the other of Gaza.

If the goal is to shut down tunnels and take out CERTAIN TARGETS, AND IT TAKES 3 WEEKS OF RANDOM BOMBARDMENT, BY WHO KNOWS HOW MANY AIRCRAFT, WITH NO ANTI AIRCRAFT FIRE interference, then they are totally inept, or are deliberately destroying a 200 square mile area because it is a nuisance. This could certainly be handled without the slaughter of so many (1000 plus) innocents. Also, where are the Super Intelligence Operatives who have been capable of finding, and eliminating WW11 enemies, all over the world, with impunity??? Cannot they have Intelligence feet on the ground to find and verify real targets???? H#ll, they defeated one of their enemies in SIX DAYS.

The IDAF may be the best in the word - but no air force can be as accurte as DHLeaky would like.

Oh, silly me, I’m an atheist. Too much to hope for rational behavior from the deeply devout. , Alex, We , those really scary Atheists, are going to have to stop trying to make the world a better place to live, and quit “preaching” to the fence posts. We are an irritant at best.

I think it’s weird that if you put your name on your profile, that that then gets used for comments rather than your profile handle…So, I’ve gone back from being Alex to curiosity1 again. Oh well…I didn’t code the site.
