Ukraine had a democratically elected leader, granted a crook (we’ve never had that), but he was overthrown in a coup, not election. Crimea had a vote, which we didn’t like the outcome of all those Russian speakers voting, so of course it doesn’t count. Hmm, about those “elections” in Afghanistan and Iraq since our interventions.
MortyForTyrant: They did at least some. A museum director I worked under was purser on a ship that carried several tons of gold from Murmansk to London during WW-II, and there was an epic post-WW-II recovery of the gold from another sunk by a Uboot.
Remember how good the Russians were at reverse engineering our stuff, like the B-29, and making their own version? Is Crimea just Putin’s effort to match OUR Afghan effort with success this time, or Iraq? Reverse engineering of U.S. foreign policy post WW II.
