Every once in a while, I bring up GOOGLE EARTH, and slowly pan accross Canada & the United States, enjoying the overhead views of forests, plains & towns. Often, I come across an aircraft in flight! And, with all the spy satellites overhead, how is it that this plane cannot have been seen?
You make it sound like the NSA gets their computers at best buy. They deal with yottabytes (look it up) since they get millions of text, photo, and video a day. They have up to the second satellite imagery and lets not forget the drones that can be easily launched to cover a wide range of areas without having to assemble large search parties. This isn’t 1970. Technology has improved by leaps and bounds.
The real stupidity is that folks are convinced technology can solve all problems in an instant. And we know that no computer software ever crashes, nor do our over-burdened with electronics cars.

You would think with all the spying the NSA does that they would know where this plane went.
